School Uniform

School uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school, setting an appropriate tone and most importantly instilling pride in belonging to Christ the King.  Full uniform must be worn smartly at all times, including on the journey to and from school. As a school we are aware of the cost faced by families and have worked with our partners towards ensuring best value is achieved with the clear intention of maintaining high standards.

 

General Points

• To ensure smart appearance outdoor coats must be plain and dark (navy or black).  Other colours or designs will not be allowed. Sweatshirts, tracksuit tops and “hoodies” are not acceptable
• All students must have a suitable school bag in which they will carry their books and equipment, as a guide this should be large enough to carry an A4 folder
• Students will need: pens, pencils, ruler, scientific calculator and coloured crayons/pencils
• No jewellery, except a single plain stud in each ear lobe, is allowed on the grounds of health and safety. The wearing of make-up or extreme hairstyles (in respect of style, colour and length) are not acceptable in particular closely or partially shaved heads, wedge or v-cuts with distinctive lines or tramlines and unnatural colours.
• Stiletto heels, denim or leather jackets, jeans or canvas trousers must not be worn for school.
