HEADTEACHER’S WELCOME
As the new Headteacher, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our school website. Christ the King Catholic High School is a voluntary aided co-educational School for students aged 11 to 16 with the aim of serving the Catholic community in the Preston locality in the diocese of Lancaster. Our school has undergone many changes over the years, but at the heart, all we do has remained the same. We are a modern school with traditional values based on our Catholic ethos.
At Christ the King Catholic High School, we pride ourselves on being a culturally diverse family of learners, both pupils and staff alike. As a learning community we share and use our gifts and talents for the greater good of everyone. As a Catholic school we place Christ at the heart of all we do and pay particular attention to the spiritual development of all our community. Our school is inclusive and is made up of a rich fabric of many different faiths, who all share common values. This resonates with our mission statement:
‘Love one another as I have loved you’ (John, 15)
We believe that Jesus Christ and his Gospel Call – to love God and love all people – are at the heart of what we do. He inspires us as children of God, to uphold the dignity of each individual. We strive to develop a community in Christ which fully supports all in achieving their potential – spiritually, academically and personally.
At our school, we offer a truly broad and balanced curriculum and continue to offer an expanding range of subjects and qualifications. Our students are also offered an array of extra-curricular opportunities to enhance their overall development and educational experience. We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
