Our school was recently the subject of a Section 48 Inspection by the Diocese of Lancaster Education Service. As part of the process inspectors met with a wide range of students, staff, governors and members of the wider community; they also read the many responses made by parents to the inspection questionnaire which I sent home. In addition, inspectors observed a number of lessons within the Religious Education Department.
I am delighted to share with you the findings of the report that “Christ the King is an outstanding Catholic School”.
A full copy of the inspection report is available here on the school website and I would encourage you to read it at your convenience.
It is extremely encouraging that the inspection of our school recognised the outstanding work which goes on both within and beyond the classroom. Particular reference is made to the strength of relationships within the school, the outstanding progress made by students, positive behaviour and attitudes to learning and our strong commitment to charity work. Clearly none of these things could happen without the hard work and dedication of all members of our school community; I would like to take this opportunity to thank you as parents and your children for your contributions to making this an outstanding school.
We have much to be proud of at Christ the King and I am sure that you will share our sense of achievement in receiving this outstanding report.
