to the Year 11 students and staff on achieving our school’s best ever results. Well done to everyone!
On behalf of the students, staff and governors I am delighted to welcome you to our school website. Christ the King is a small school and we place a strong emphasis on supporting each individual student to thrive and succeed in their education. I am proud that our results consistently point to the fact that our school is a vibrant learning environment in which students are challenged to fulfil their potential.
We place a strong emphasis on providing our students with a wide range of experiences both within and beyond the classroom. I believe that high quality teaching and strong pastoral support are the key to enabling our students to make excellent progress; both are of the highest priority at Christ the King.
As a Catholic school our core values are rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus Christ and the values of the Gospel. Our ethos is one of respect for all and this is evident to anyone who visits our school. We are proud of the inclusive nature of our school and work hard to ensure all our students develop a strong sense of pride and belonging, respect and self-worth. Personal and spiritual development are as important to us as academic achievement, our aim is to educate the whole child.
I hope that you find our website informative. I would particularly encourage you to read our latest OFSTED Report (April 2013) which I believe captures much of what is positive about our school. Please also take the opportunity to come and visit us by contacting the school office to arrange an appointment; I would be delighted to meet you and show you around in person.
We believe that Jesus Christ and his Gospel Call – to love God and all people – are at the heart of what we do. He inspires us, as children of God, to uphold the dignity of each individual. We strive to develop a community in Christ which fully supports all in achieving their potential – spiritually, academically and personally.
